As far as possible, OED Online supports the widest range of browsers. Although a graphical browser is a requirement, you need neither the latest version, nor a specific operating system, in order to be able to use OED Online effectively.

In fact, although higher-resolution displays are better, OED Online will work on computers that can only show 800x600 pixels.

Netscape Navigator versions from 3 onwards, and Microsoft Internet Explorer versions from 4 onwards, are all supported, and there's no need for any special plug-ins, nor Java or ActiveX.
